• Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer Casts Cillian Murphy And Reveals a 2023 Release Date

Cillian Murphy will star in Oppenheimer, the next project from Christopher Nolan. The movie is set to premiere on July 21, 2023.

Deadline reports Murphy will play scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who is known as the father of the atomic bomb. The actor is no stranger to working with Nolan, previously appearing in The Dark Knight Trilogy as Scarecrow, as well as Inception and a cameo in Dunkirk. Murphy was previously rumored to have a major role in the movie.

The movie marks Nolan's first time working with Universal. After he was publicly critical of Warner Bros.' decision to release movies on HBO Max at the same time as theaters, it seems he was ready to take his work elsewhere. The director also called HBO Max, "the worst streaming service."

Nolan is apparently targeting a $100 million budget for Oppenheimer, which he considers "smaller-scale" compared to his other films. When searching for a new partner, Nolan also reportedly demanded "total creative control, 20 percent of first-dollar gross, and a blackout period from which the studio wherein the company would not release another movie three weeks before or three weeks after his release.”

Tenet, Nolan's last film, underperformed at the box office, partially due to it releasing around the same time as a massive movie theater shutdown across the United States.

The Oppenheimer biopic will mark Nolan's return to World War 2 filmmaking, which he previously explored in 2017's Dunkirk. We called the movie 'amazing', saying, "Dunkirk doesn’t dwell on the horror of war but instead successfully conveys the sheer terror of it all through both small, human acts and deafening scenes of conflict."

Wheel of Time: Rosamund Pike Makes Her Entrance as Moiraine in New Clip

Rosamund Pike makes her entrance as Moiraine in a new clip from Amazon's Wheel of Time series released at its New York Comic Con panel — and what an entrance it is.

Showrunner Rafe Judkins also announced at the panel three new cast members for Season 2: Ceara Coveney (Dad, The Amazing World of Emma) will join as a series regular, portraying fan-favorite character Elayne Trakand. Natasha O’Keeffe (Peaky Blinders, Misfits) and Meera Syal (The Kumars at No. 42, Broadchurch) will also join the show in Season 2, but their roles have not yet been revealed.

The new clip takes sets the timeline early in Robert Jordan's first Wheel of Time book, The Eye of the World, as Warder Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney) introduces Moiraine, a member of the Aes Sedai, an all-female organization who can channel the One Power to weld incredible magic. It also shows Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), and Egwene al'Vere (Madeleine Madden) as they look on in awe.

The series will follow these five characters, in addition to Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins) and Mat Cauthon (Barney Harris), as they embark on a world-spanning journey to save humanity.

Other cast members include Johann Myers as the peddler Padan Fain, Hammed Animashaun as the ogier Loial, Alvaro Morte as Logain the False Dragon, and Alexandre Willaume as the gleeman Thom Merrilin.

Wheel of Time will premiere on Amazon Prime on Nov. 19, debuting with three episodes initially before dropping one new episode every Friday after that. It was renewed for a second season earlier this year, with both seasons consisting of eight episodes each.

Select "RTX 3070" upgrade during the customization step

This is the best price right now for an Alienware RTX 30 series equipped gaming PC. The RTX 3080 is the card I'm currently using for the BF2042 open beta, and I can run the game at 4K resolution and over 60fps consistently at medium to high settings.

    Apple AirPods Pro Noise-Cancelling Earbuds

If you regret not picking the Airpods Pro up on Amazon Prime Day, here's your chance to get it today at an even lower price. The AirPods Pro is considered one of the best noise-cancelling in-ear headphones you can get, especially for under $200. The noise cancellation is considered to be even better than the Bose Quietcomfort because of the natural noise isolating design of the in-ear earbuds. If isolation and sound quality are of utmost important to you, then it's worth the $80 upgrade over the vanilla AirPods 2.

    2021 LG C1 65" 4K OLED TV Price Drop

Today the newest LG 65" 4K OLED TV has dropped to the lowest price we've ever seen. The LG C1 OLED TV improves upon last year's highly-rated CX model with an upgraded A9 Gen 4 processor that delivers slightly better image quality, better 4K scaling, and improved audio handling as well as a new webOS smart TV redesign. The C1 OLED TV also looks good when paired to a gaming PC with an RTX 30 series video card because it has HDMI 2.1 inputs that support 4K at 120Hz and G-SYNC. It's easily one of the best (if not the best) TVs on the market right now.

    New 2021 Hisense 60" 4K TV for $350, 70" for $550

If you've been looking for a new 2021 60" or 70" 4K TV at an outstanding price, you can't get much cheaper than this. The new Hisense A8G has been discounted big time; the 60" model is only $399.99 (down from $550) and the 70" model is $549.99 (down from $850) at Best Buy. Don't be fooled by the bargain price; the A6G offers solid 4K HDR image quality and an excellent Android Smart TV interface.

$39.99 Nintendo Switch Games (Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Pokemon Snap, Zelda: Skyward Sword HD)

None of these games have ever dropped to $39.99 this year. Super Smash Bros is the fighting game on the Switch with a 74-character roster, 103 levels, and up to 8-player mayhem. In Pokemon Snap, instead of capturing pokemon, you're taking pictures of them. It's a fantastic game that's every bit as fun as the Pokemon Sword and Shield games before it, albeit with different game mechanics. Zelda: Skyward Sword is a great HD remake of the 2011 Wii original. Monster Hunter Rise is the newest Monster Hunter game; it came out in March of this year and is the closest thing you'll get to Monster Hunter World for the Switch console.

The Expanse: Season 6 Release Date and First Trailer Revealed – NYCC 2021

Amazon Prime Video has revealed the release date and first trailer for Season 6 of The Expanse, which will make its debut on Friday, December 10, 2021.

Here's how Amazon describes the upcoming Season 6 of The Expanse: "The sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise."

You can watch the new trailer for Season 6 of The Expanse in the video below or at the top of the page:

The streamer unveiled the new trailer during The Expanse New York Comic Con panel. Series regulars Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cara Gee, Frankie Adams, Keon Alexander, Nadine Nicole, and Jasai Chase Owens return for what should be an epic final season on Amazon.

The upcoming season will likely follow the events of Book 6 of The Expanse saga from author James S.A. Corey (aka Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck), titled "Babylon's Ashes." At the time of writing, there are currently eight published novels, with the ninth and final book — "Leviathan Falls" — set to release on November 16, 2021.

With three more books in the series to adapt, there's still more story to tell, but Alcon's deal with Amazon is over after this sixth and final season. According to executive producer and showrunner Naren Shankar in an interview with EW, more seasons of The Expanse could be on the way.

“You know, honestly, that would be more of a question for our studio, for Alcon, Shankar told EW. “They control the property, but what I will say is that there's definitely more to tell and I'm sure Ty and Daniel would say exactly the same thing. But yeah, that's probably about as much as I can say at this point.”

What did you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check out Season 6 of The Expanse when it premieres on December 10, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
