• Demon Slayer Season 2 Trailer Shows Off Entertainment District Arc and Mugen Train Arc – NYCC 2021

A new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba trailer has given us a glimpse of season 2's new villain – the major demon Daki – and other footage from the Entertainment District Arc and the Mugen Train Arc.

The trailer was released during New York Comic Con and arrived a couple of days before show's Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Panel, where the English voice cast shared some of their favorite memories from the film and series.

The Mugen Train Arc made its debut today, October 10, and it is a bit more than a simple retelling of Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train. It is a seven-episode adaptation of the film that also includes "an original episode, 70 new scenes, new music tracks, new open and ending animations, episode previews, and new theme songs."

The previously mentioned original episode is a "brand-new story chronicling Kyojuro Rengoku's journey after he leaves the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters for the Mugen Train." It will also connect the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc with the Entertainment District Arc.

Speaking of the Entertainment District Arc, it is set to premiere on December 5 and the first episode will be one hour long and will feature new theme songs – "Zankyosanka" and "Asa ga kuru" – by Aimer.

As for the Mugen Train panel, it featured Abby Trott (Nezuko), Aleks Le (Zenitsu), Landon McDonald (Enmu), and Lucien Dodge (Akaza and ADR Script Writer) speaking about lending their voices to the film and how the process was for them. In one interesting story, Dodge revealed that while he was writing the English dub script, he decided that he would probably be the best fit for the character of Akaza, which hadn't been cast yet.

"So funny thing, When I was writing the English dub script for Mugen Train, I was not Akaza yet," Dodge revealed. "Now I will say, the way I write, I do just kinda perform the lines to try to figure out, ‘Is this flowing? does this feel like it sort of emanates from the character naturally? Does it feel clunky?'

"I can surmise if it needs to be tweaked If I imagine how I would perform it. When I got to the character, I will say… and I apologize, this sounds slightly conceited, I don’t typically think this way," Dodge laughed. "I couldn’t help [think] while writing the character, ‘You know, I feel that I could play this character, probably, pretty well.'"

Aleks then jumped in and shouted, "That's what I said! I was a big fan of Lucian Dodge! I remember I messaged [Dodge], I was like, 'Lucian, you should be this guy.'" The rest, as they say, is history.

Timothée Chalamet Shares a First Look at His Younger Willy Wonka From Upcoming Prequel Film

Timothée Chalamet has shared the first look of his version of a younger Willy Wonka in the upcoming Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka.

Chalamet shared the image on Twitter of his character behind a camera on set of the film that is set to open on March 17, 2023.

This first look arrives shortly after Warner Bros. revealed the cast for the film and announced that filming on the project had begun. Alongside Chalamet, the cast includes Rowan Atkinson, Keegan Michael-Key, Jim Carter, Mathew Baynton, Olivia Colman, Tom Davis, Simon Farnaby, Rich Fulcher, Sally Hawkins, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Paterson Joseph, Calah Lane, Matt Lucas, Colin O’Brien, Natasha Rothwell, Rakhee Thakrar, and Ellie White.

The film will be directed by Paddington director Paul King, and many of the actors, including Davis, Farnaby, Hawking, Lucas, and Holdbrook-Smith, have all appeared in at least one Paddington film.

Wonky will serve as a prequel to Roald Dahl's 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Chalamet will be the third actor to take on the legendary role following both Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp.

With Wonka, Chalamet will soon add another book adaptation to his resume that includes the upcoming Dune, where he is playing the starring role of Paul Atreides. In our Dune review, we said that it "is a gorgeous but imperfect epic, a technical wonder that spends too much time setting up a third act that never comes."

No Time to Die Wins the Weekend Domestic Box Office With $56 Million, Surpasses $300 Million Globally

No Time to Die, the 25th James Bond film, has earned an estimated $56 million at the domestic box office in its first weekend and has surpassed $300 million globally.

As reported by THR, No Time to Die secured a box office win over Venom: Let There Be Carnage's $32 million and had the fifth-best domestic opening in the COVID-19 pandemic era.

No Time to Die's domestic box office was a bit under expectations as MGM and EON Productions "had hoped to cross $60 million in its domestic launch based on tracking and advance ticket sales."

The latest Bond film is estimated to cost $250 million – $300 million before marketing, and its run-time of two hours and 43 minutes could have played a part in the ticket sales as it could have limited showtimes. Speaking of run-time, No Time to Die clocks in at the longest in the franchise.

Overseas, No Time to Die earned another $89.5 million from 66 markets, bringing its international total to $257.4 million. Combining with its domestic haul, No Time to Die is sitting at around $313.3 million globally. The film has yet to open in China.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which set a pandemic record with its $90 million debut last week, has seen its global total reach $185.6 million.

Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has reached $400 million globally and is helping set Disney up to be the first studio to cross $2 billion in 2021 global ticket sales.

Dune, which will finally release in North America on October 22, crossed the $100 million mark internationally with a global total of $117.1 million.

In North America, The Addams Family 2 placed third with $10 million, Shang-Chi followed with $4.2 million, and The Many Saints of Newark rounded out the top five with just $1.5 million.

For more, check out our No Time to Die review, our explainer of the ending, and Daniel Craig's comments on how he hopes that James Bond has "changed a lot" while he's played him.
