    TL;DR – 10 Best PS5 Deals

    1. PlayStation Plus 12-Month Membership for $39.99 (Save $20)

It's the clear favorite for PS5 and PlayStation users this Black Friday. We all need to extend our PS Plus membership every year, and there's no better time to do it than during the Black Friday sales.

PlayStation Plus gives you access to brand new games for free every single month, such as Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning in November. It also provides access to cloud-saves, and online multiplayer access for games like Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, and more.

    2. Deathloop for $24.99 at Amazon (Save $35)

Deathloop is absolutely one of the best games of the year, we even gave it a 10/10 in our review. Considering how well well-reviewed the game is, this is an absolute bargain and well worth picking up for your PS5.

This discount has also become one of the most popular deals this Black Friday – and it's a discount you do not want to miss out on.

    3. Perfect PS5 SSD 1TB with Heatsink for $129.99 (was $159.99)

Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your PS5's storage. Thankfully, upgrading is easily done, and you can install a new M.2 2280 SSD straight into the console (see our guide here).

Our favorite deal right now for PS5 SSD storage is the XPG 1TB with Heatsink, down to just $129.99, an incredibly affordable price considering close competitors will sit around $250 for an SSD with Heatsink included.

    4. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy for $24.99 (Save $35)

Considering Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is an entirely new game, this is an incredible price drop. It's not like the game is bad either, we scored it an 8/10 in our review.

In my humble opinion, this is a no-brainer, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the best games of the year, it looks spectacular, and it's the perfect, fun, energy-filled experience to play on your on PS5 or PS4.

    5. FIFA 22 Down to $26 for Black Friday (Save $35)

Update: With this deal being so good, and the price dropping so low, FIFA 22 might be out of stock before the end of the day. Pick it up ASAP.

This is an incredible deal for the brand new iteration of FIFA 22, dropping down to just $26 in the Black Friday sales. That's $44 off the original list price. This is the perfect time sinker for the holidays for any sports fan, and you'll be thanking yourself that you waited until Black Friday to pick up a copy on PS5 or PS4.

    6. DualSense Wireless Controller + NBA 2K21 Jumpstart Bundle for $55

We're not seeing many DualSense deals this Black Friday, so this seems to be the best we're getting. To be fair, it's actually quite a good deal, which is why we're including it in our top deals list. $54.99 for a new controller, not bad at all on Black Friday.

    7. Resident Evil Village Down to $19.99 (was $59.99)

Another incredible game from 2021 has seen a massive reduction for Black Friday, with Resident Evil Village dropping down to just $19.99 for PS4 and PS5. Village is one of the most critically acclaimed games of the year, and definitely worth you dropping $20 on it.

    8. WD_Black 850 1TB SSD for PS5 Now $149.99 (was $229.99)

Another incredible SSD deal for your PS5, this time it's the WD Black 850 1TB. This is a fantastic SSD expansion drive, and it will work wonders with your glamorous PS5. One thing, just make sure you pick up a heatsink separately, as this SSD doesn't include one.

    9. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Now $49.99 (Save $20)

Absolutely one of the best games of the year has dropped down to just $50. Considering this was $70 at launch this year, this is an incredible deal and well worth considering for your PS5 haul over the holidays.

Cricket 22 Delayed Because of Sex Scandal

Developer Big Ant has delayed Cricket 22 to swap out one of the game's cover stars, following a sex scandal involving the athlete.

As reported by Kotaku, the sports game developer was set to include Australian Cricketer Tim Paine on the cover of this year's cricketing title but has taken the decision to remove his image following the emergence of a sex scandal, after the star was revealed to have sent "lewd messages" and a picture of his genitals to a former female colleague.

Big Ant posted a statement to Twitter earlier this week confirming that it was delaying the game from November 25 to December 2. "Unfortunately, factors beyond our control have meant that we need to update the game’s cover art, other visuals, and team lists," the studio confirmed on Twitter before confirming the game's new release date.

The incident between Paine and his former female colleague is reported to have taken place back in 2017. Following an investigation in 2018, Paine was cleared of wrongdoing by cricketing authority Cricket Tasmania, which determined that the incident involving the cricketer and his colleague had been "consensual". However, after it emerged that the texts were due to be revealed publicly, Paine stepped down as captain of the Australian men's cricket team last week.

Per the BBC, Paine subsequently said, "Although exonerated, I deeply regretted this incident at the time and still do today." Despite Paine no longer captaining the side, he is set to play in the team's upcoming Ashes test series against England in December.

Following the announcement of the game's delay, Big Ant has confirmed that fellow Australian Cricket star Pat Cummins will replace Paine on the cover. Cummins will be joined alongside Australian woman's team captain Meg Lanning, who was already set for the cover.

For more on Cricket 22, make sure to check out this article detailing the different tournaments coming to the series this time around.

How to Get a Nintendo Switch OLED Model This Black Friday

The Nintendo Switch OLED model is the latest version of the massively popular hybrid console from Nintendo, and as is the case with all the hot consoles like PS5 and Xbox, it's also tough to find this year.

However, it's not impossible. If you're hoping to give the Switch OLED as a gift for Christmas, or just want to pick one up for yourself, your best bet is to grab yourself a bundle deal. It's not ideal, since you may have to get a game or accessory you don't really want or need, but the alternative is paying scalpers and for the love of Mario please don't do that.

How to Get Nintendo Switch OLED This Black Friday

Right now, GameStop is offering a bundle with the Switch OLED, with Red and Blue Joy-Cons, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, and a $50 GameStop gift card.

What Retailers Have Nintendo Switch OLED Available?

Other than GameStop's bundles, none of the other big online retailers have Switch OLED available, but that could very well change. Unlike the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, you can occasionally happen across Switch OLED models in stock at brick-and-mortar stores. I was able to pick one up from the floor of my local Walmart, for example.

What's the Difference Between Switch OLED and Regular Switch?

Apart from being available in a new white version, the Switch OLED has an OLED screen. Imagine that! With the OLED screen, you get much more vibrant colors than a regular LED screen, and the contrast and blacks are unparalleled. The difference is really striking over a regular Switch. However, the screen does require more battery power, so the battery life is closer to that of the original model Nintendo Switch. You can expect about 3.5 hours of play with the Switch OLED model compared to up to 9 hours with the Switch model offered in the Mario Kart 8 Black Friday bundle, for example.

The Switch OLED also includes an updated dock, one with an Ethernet adapter, so you can wire in for online play.

How Much Does the Nintendo Switch OLED Cost?

The MSRP for the Switch OLED is $349.99, compared to $299.99 for the regular Switch and $199.99 for the Nintendo Switch Lite. It's up to you whether or not that price seems reasonable. If you have a launch-edition Nintendo Switch, and you can find yourself a Switch OLED, I think the upgrade is worth it. However, if you have the most-recent Switch, the tradeoff for handheld visual acuity might not be worth the battery life.

What Games Does the Nintendo Switch OLED Play?

Nintendo Switch games are compatible across the whole family of Nintendo Switch consoles, so there's no worries about compatibility. However, some games, like Metroid Dread, just look incredible on the OLED screen, so if you do get a Switch OLED, get that game, too. Or get one of the dozens of Nintendo Switch Black Friday game deals happening right now.

The MCU’s Daily Bugle Now Has a TikTok Account

The MCU's version of the Daily Bugle has launched its own TikTok as marketing for December's release of Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to increase.

Going by the username @TheDailyBugleOfficial, the MCU outlet has launched its own TikTok account that fans can follow today for "breaking news on Spider-Man you can't get anywhere else."

While those of you hoping that J. Jonah Jameson and his team of reporters might have snapped up some pictures of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, that certainly doesn't seem to be the case so far. The Bugle's first post features intern Betty Brant announcing her new position at the newspaper while another includes J. Jonah Jameson calling out Spider-Man as the "spider-menace" we all know he is in true Simmons-style.

As per the fictional outlet's most recent upload, fans can now download their own Daily Bugle reporter pack to share their own "Spider-Man sightings, misguided opinions, vague rumours and craziest conspiracy theories," on the social media app. By downloading the pack, you'll be given access to your own TikTok Daily Bugle background, which you can use to join Brant in her promise to deliver fans the sort of "fair, balanced and hard-hitting news you've grown to expect from the Bugle."

Brant, who's played by actress Angourie Rice, has featured in both previous MCU Spider-Man films. While she spent the majority of Far From Home loved up with Peter Parker's best friend and "guy in the chair" Ned, the character is more commonly known in the films as a member of Midtown High's student journalist team. During Marvel's comic book series, a similar role is carried out by the character, who becomes known for her role at the Daily Bugle and relationship with Ned.

The Daily Bugle itself doesn't appear in the MCU until the end of Spider-Man Far From Home during a post-credit scene where Jameson makes a cameo appearance. The outlet is likely to make a far more significant contribution in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Simmons has spoken about reprising his role as the outlet's angry editor-in-chief, he also made a brief cameo during No Way Home's most recent trailer.

For more from the world of Spider-Man, make sure to check out this piece detailing how film executives want Tom Holland to keep playing the web-crawler despite the fact he may not be as convinced.
