Birds of Prey Has Been Censored on HBO Max

The HBO Max version of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has apparently been censored from the original version that was found on the streamer and in theaters.

As reported by ComicBook.com, HBO Max subscribers that start the DC film are greeted with a message saying, "This film has been modified as follows from its original version: it has been edited for content."

Birds of Prey is rated R and features language and violence throughout the film. As ComicBook.com notes, "one scene featuring Rosie Perez's Detective Montoya sees a phrase on her shirt being clearly edited, confirming the censoring of the outing." The movie that stars both Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor now boasts a TV-14 rating.

ComicBook.com also writes that this wasn't the first time a streamer has offered a "tamer version of the film," as Netflix had the TV edit of Back to the Future II for a while before it was corrected.

"The blame is on Universal who somehow furnished Netflix an edited version of the movie," writer Bob Gale told The Hollywood Reporter at the time. "I learned about it some 10 days ago from an eagle-eyed fan, and had the studio rectify the error. The version now running is the uncensored, unedited, original version."

Whether this was a mistake or otherwise remains to be seen, but we will update this story if the original version is restored.

Birds of Prey being brought down to TV-14 is somewhat of a big deal as it was the first DCEU title to be rated R beside the "Ultimate Edition" of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Following Birds of Prey, Zack Snyder's Justice League and The Suicide Squad both also earned an R rating.

Nick Fury Is the Latest Marvel Character to Join Fortnite

While it may not be Samuel L. Jackson (yet!), Marvel's Nick Fury has arrived in Fortnite as part of a S.H.I.E.L.D. Set in the game's Item Shop.

Announced by The Fortnite Team, Nick Fury – the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. – has sneaked onto Fortnite's Island to "root out Cube corruption."

    Alongside the Nick Fury Outfit, fans will also be able to pick up other Marvel-themed items in the Item Shop, including the F.I.E.L.D. Pack Back Bling. The full list of items, with their official descriptions from Fortnite, are as follows;

    • F.I.E.L.D. Pack Back Bling – Just the thing for Front-line Infiltration, Espionage, and Long-term Deployment.
    • Director's Scythe Pickaxe – Has sliced through many armored hulls.
    • First-Strike Infiltration Glider – Lets out a blue flame and emblazoned with S.H.I.E.L.D.’s logo.

Players have the option to purchase the Outfit (which comes with the Back Bling), Pickaxe, and Glider individually or as a complete set in the Nick Fury Bundle. Those who opt for the bundle will also unlock the Quinjets in Flight Loading Screen.

Fury arrives just as Fortnite's Chapter 2 is set to come to a close. This ending will see players facing off against The Cube Queen in a one-time-only in-game event called "The End."

Returnal DLC Possibly Being Teased by Developer Housemarque

An image shared from Returnal's developer Housemarque on Twitter has fans speculating that a DLC announcement may be on the way.

Housemarque tweeted the mysterious image on the morning of November 26 alongside the text, "Atropos…? #Returnal." For those unaware, Atropos is the planet where Returnal takes place.

This caught the attention of many across the internet, as it doesn't appear to be anything found in the base game of Returnal. Additionally, since Atropos has a question mark after it, it's possible this could be a whole new world Selene (or another character?) has to explore. It also could be that a catastrophic event has done something drastic to Atropos to cause Selene to question where she is.

Following the Tweet, Housemarque senior narrative designer Eevi Korhonen Quote Tweeted the mysterious post, saying, "We filmed something really amazing today. Hope we get to share more soon!"

Could this mean we will get a new trailer for DLC or expansion in the near future, possibly at The Game Awards on December 9? Could it instead be for some type of ad or live-action trailer? Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long to find out.

While Housemarque has yet to release any DLC for Returnal, it has said it was working on "new content and updates and fixes." Recently, it received its 2.0 update that added not only a long-awaited save system, but also photo mode.

After Housemarque released Returnal, Sony announced it was purchasing the company behind other such games as Super Stardust HD, Resogun, Dead Nation, Alienation, and more.

In our Returnal review, we said, "Its roguelike runs are too long and it needs a way to save in the middle of them, but Returnal's third-person shooter action, clever story, and atmosphere are excellent."

DJI Drone With Camera Bundle: Save With This Awesome Black Friday Deal

If you're on the look out for a drone with camera deal this Black Friday, look no further than this excellent DJI Mavic Mini bundle on Amazon.

Drone With Camera Black Friday Deal

For just $300 you get the DJI Mavic Mini with a 2.7K still and video camera built-in, as well as spare batteries, a charger, controller, spare cables, propellors and maybe best of all, a carrying case to protect it all from being knocked around.

The DJI Mini SE alone is $299 at Walmart, so this bundle is truly an excellent deal. If you're unfamiliar with drone piloting, the great news is the DJI app makes it ridiculously easy. One-button push launches your drone and another lands it. If it gets too far away, you can one-button push and it will climb to a safe altitude and find its way back to you. It's really pretty incredible.

As far as image quality, this drone is quite good. It obviously can't compete with the high-end professional drones like cinematographers use, but for enthusiasts it produces some great images and videos. The gimbal is almost like magic, so you get incredibly smooth video no matter what. Since this drone is so small, it does get buffeted by the wind more than its larger, more expensive cousins, but that gimbal never betrays it.

If you want to get a drone with camera for yourself or to give as a gift, I highly recommend checking out this DJI Mavic Mini bundle. It's packed with features, a snap to fly, and its super easy to carry along in even a small backpack.

This is one of the many excellent Black Friday deals at Amazon going on right now, so be sure to check them all out before Black Friday is in our rear-view.
